Partnerships

Our school works in partnership with others to promote a physically active school community. Pupils, staff, parents and local community are at the heart of this programme. Some of the coaches and groups that have shared their skills with us recently include: 

Kerry GAA Coaches in both hurling & football – coaching with Lorcan Martin and Colm O’Brien
Ballymac GAA – local primary schools blitz each yearCBS The Green – football and hurling blitzes
Ballymac Bobcats – coaching with Roscoe, Rachel and Anna
St Marys Basketball Club – boys and girls team participating in annual Christmas Blitz
Tralee Harriers Athletics Club – coaching with Cian, Aisling and past pupil Ethan
John Lenihan (world champion Irish mountain runner) – guided walk in Glanageenty Woods and talk with 5th and 6th class
Joe O’Connor (coach, lecturer MTU) – talk with 6th class students
Chosun Taekwon-Do – workshops with Barry O’Connor
Pilates – workshops with Niall Lucey, Pilates instructor
Volleyball – Mercy Mounthawk secondary school TY coaching and tournament
