Seachtain na Gaeilge
Junior had a jam packed Seachtain na Gaeilge. We had irish dancing with Michael which was loads of fun. In english we learned procedural writing and made some Tayto sandwiches. It was our first time trying tayto sandwiches and they were delicious! We were very careful using a butter knife and we learned the importance of cleaning our tables and hands before making and eating food. We learned about St Patrick in SESE and Grow in Love. On Friday we had an assembly where we sang Im a little Leprachaun and Lá le Pádraig for the school. In art we made shamrocks and rainbows. We spoke about what we treasure. Most of the children said there mom, dads, brothers, sister and pets. Miss Carroll gave us a treat on Friday of a chocolate coin and she said we are her treasure!
