September in Junior Infants
What a great first month we have had in Mrs. O'Donnell's Junior Infants at O Brennan National School!
All of the children have settled in very well and are getting used to the long day at school. They are enjoying playing together and making new friends and have adapted very quickly to the classroom routines.
They have been very busy learning lots of news sounds and practising their nursery rhymes. They even helped put Humpty Dumpty back together again!
We are working hard to strengthen our fine motor skills; playdough is our favourite.
In maths we have done lots of sorting and matching.
In P.E. We are learning some playground games and exploring how different animals might move their bodies.
In Aistear we have loved playing in the kitchen, with the doll's houses and we even build a cave inspired by the storybook 'Cave Baby'.
